RULES REGARDING TOURISM IN THE DDBR

1. The tourism activities in the DDBR are authorized by the Regulation and Licenses Department within DDBRA (Address: Tulcea, 34 A Portului Street).
   
   
2. Tourists access in DDBR is allowed only on the basis of an access permit and it is conditioned by the payment of an access fee, which is 10,00 lei/ person/trip.
   Collection of entry tax for tourists set according to Tulcea County Council Decision No. 7/2009 can be done on the DDBRA premises: Monday - Friday: 08.00 - 16.00. Besides working hours the tax collection can be done by tourism operators mandated by Tulcea County Council.
   
   
3. DDBRA recommends, as transport means, using small capacity boats with electric propulsion.
   
   
4. The access outside the main routes is only allowed by row boats.
   
   
5. Camping is allowed only is specially designated areas.



6. The floating hotels, used for transport and tourist accommodation, should have storage tanks and containers for liquid and solid waste.
   
   
7. The tourist transport ships must have special systems for collecting residues and any other waste.
   
   
8. Individual tourists must take out of the Reserve all plastic, paper, metal wrappings, bottles or other containers used for food transport.
   
   
9. It is forbidden for the tourists to enter the bird colonies or to disturb solitary nests or chicks.
   
   
10. DDBRA recommends the use of birds observation towers.
    
    
11. It is forbidden to cut trees or pick plants of any kind.
    
    
12. Sport fishing is organized by legally constituted angling associations and is allowed only in approved areas.
    
    
13. Sport hunting is organized only by legally constituted hunting associations on designated areas approved by the DDBRA.
    
    
14. Any other information concerning the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve, as well as practical information on tourism is available at the DDBRA information centers in Crisan, Sulina, Tulcea (ground floor of the DDBRA headquarters).
